The Asian, a new restaurant, serving more than 70 cuisines from Southeast Asia recently opened in Ghubra. The restaurant can accommodate more than 120 guests and is located near the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque.
Saad Najeeb al Balushi, general manager, Golden Spoon Group, which runs the restaurant said, “This is our new venture and we will be serving authentic Southeast Asian cuisines. The head chef of our group has travelled to several Southeast countries to get a feel of the food prepared there, the style of preparation and the spices used. We have chefs who are specialised in preparing sea food, Thai cuisine and Mongolian barbecue.”
The food is reasonably priced. It will appeal to people from across cultures including Southeast Asians, Europeans and citizens,” said Balushi. “We also plan to open branches all over the country,” he added. – Source
Family and friends had an opportunity to try out this new restaurant last Friday. The moment I stepped out from the car and walked to the door, I said to myself “This day will bring me back on track to food blogging…”.
The facade of the restaurant will bring you a unique and Asian feeling with those bamboo made decor.
There was a great impression when you view the restaurant from the outside as well as when you are already inside. The lighting of the entire restaurant is what caught my attention which is properly designed in Japanese style (I guess).
The food are mostly Asian and where in fact that due to the excitement and hunger, I missed to took picture of the main course that we ordered. When the food arrives to our table I neglect everything around me, pardon me that this post is not most of the main course.
One thing I observed is that, staffs are well accommodating and they will make sure you will not leave the place without the great satisfaction.
